Western Springs House Walk

Western Springs Historical Society House Walk returns Sunday, May 19th, from 12-5pm. The day will be a celebration of Western Springs’ rich history and will provide a chance to gather design and architectural inspiration. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 on the day of.

The 2019 House Walk focuses on the history of Western Springs’ different neighborhoods via program notes and docent commentary.
This year’s six homes cover four areas of Western Springs:
OLD TOWN: 1328 Chestnut & 4336 Grand
FIELD PARK: 4032 Ellington
OLD TOWN SOUTH: 4564 Lawn
FOREST HILLS: 5311 Central & 4736 Grand
NEW THIS YEAR**: WSHS is very excited to announce @properties has very generously donated 3 trolleys to transport our guests. The $55 ticket price for thetrolley , includes admittance to all six houses and early entry to the event. Trolley hours are 11:00am to 5:00pm. Tickets for the trolleys are offered only online and are limited. We anticipate they will go quickly, so book early!
For those interested in attending the traditional way, tickets are $35 in advance and $45 on the day of, and will be available starting April 15th at Clever Girl, Jayne La Grange, the Thomas Ford Memorial Library, the Water Tower (Saturday mornings only) and on our web site. All proceeds benefit the Western Springs Historical Society, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to instilling an appreciation of the village’s history in residents of all ages. Proceeds from the event will fund the Society’s operating budget, as well as help develop exhibits for the Ekdahl House and the Tower Museum, and provide programs and archival materials for residents.
